BIO

Hailing from the expansive Nullarbor desert in South Australia and currently based in the Byron Bay area, Singer Producer DEYA DOVA is an anomaly in the tribe. DEYA is a one of the few people born “behind the veil”, inside her intact water membrane. Known to inherit an auspicious life seeped in folklore, these people have an innate connection between the worlds. It is this otherworldly, deep mysticism and memory that exudes from DEYA’s extraordinary vocals, music and stage presence.

For more than a decade DEYA DOVA’s albums have been on high rotation in cult music collections around the globe. Her musical journey has spanned genres including Global Electronica, World, Ambient, DownTempo, Glitchhop, and origins as a guitarist, Singer/Songwriter. DEYA’s first productions started with location sampling and recording at sacred sites in the Australian desert. Today DEYA is one of Australia’s very few self produced female electronic artists. Known for her shapeshifting and reinvention, what remains constant in DEYA’S music is her love of ancient songlines, cinematic soundscapes, textual organica, totemic bass, temple beats and euphoric tribalism.

DEYA has worked with international artists/producers including Juno Reactor, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, An-Ten-Nae, James Munro, Antix,  Adham Shaikh, Switchbox, Tijuana Cartel, Wild Marmalade, Nyquist, Dave Basek and Luke Chable. Her music features on countless media and films, including the recent documentary “Our Journey Home” exploring the mysteries of the Planetary Grid leylines and delivering a beautiful message that speaks for the Earth & the Sacred Feminine.

DEYA DOVA’s high powered theatrical shows have seen her play festival stages including – Splendour in the Grass, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Maya Festival, Peats Ridge Festival, Southern Oracle Festival, Queensland Multi Cultural Festival, Exodus Festival, Byron Spirit Festival, Uplift Festival, Woodford Festival, and recently featuring at Sacred Spaces Village Burning Man USA.
