Deya’s digital art making began when she designed the CD cover for her first album SO BRAVELY HUMAN and developed her own scanning technique to get 3D objects into the digital domain. Today the predominant theme of Deya’s work is the exploration of the symbiosis between nature and technology, exploring the places in which they coexist in harmony, synthesis, even beauty together. Visually, Deya is a symbolist, her bold graphic images evoke rather than describe. Simular to the tools of her musical process, Deya fuses pieces of machinery and circuitry together with found objects from nature to create her own rich mythology.
